New Dive Site Review
El Puertito – The wall
Recently at El Puertito I decided after following the normal route out to see the Turtles on the first dive and having fun with the family of turtles there that I would go out and explore the other side of the bay.
There is a really pretty wall covered with life, I saw a gorgeous huge Anemone as well as dozens
of Red Lipped Blennies. Following along the wall you can go along into a second bay with some fantastic rock formations. This dive is
a little deeper than to see the Turtles but still a great dive for all levels.
A dive site well worth a visit.

Divemaster Internship Update Our new Interns Antti and Joonas are progressing really well.
Joonas as a non certified diver has been coming on leaps and bounds in his first few weeks here.
He loves diving and cannot believe that he hasn’t tried it before.
Joonas completed his PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience and then his PADI
Open Water Diver course, before starting on his training to become a PADI Advanced Open Diver, EFR and finally the
PADI Rescue Diver course. Now its straight into the final four weeks of Divemaster Training.
Antti joined us as a CMAS 1 Star and moved
straight into training to become a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver. Antti is
already a very confident diver, and has proved to be a great assistant already.
Antti has worked hard to become a PADI Rescue Diver and is starting the training to become a
PADI Divemaster.
Antti and Joonas are training hard every day for their stamina assessments, and are studying hard to sit their Divemaster Exams.
Team News After a hectic summer Pete has now started his studying for his
PADI staff instructor course, which he will attend at the end of November.
Once Pete is a PADI Staff instructor we will be able to train Divemaster’s to become
PADI Assistant Instructors.
During Pete's course, Melissa will be guiding shore dives at El Puertito, Abades and Playa Negra.
PADI Divemaster Internship
2011-2012
Divemaster internship places available throughout the year, from
6 weeks to 8 weeks dependent upon current certification level
Diving is not just something you will do for a few months of the
year, it is something that will change your life forever. Even if you never work
as a PADI Divemaster, for the rest of your life you will define yourself as a
PADI Dive Professional.
If you don't want a professional qualification then how about
becoming PADI Master Scuba Diver, the highest non-professional Scuba diving
rating, that commands respect from all other divers.
You can start your internship at any stage from Non-Diving, Open
Water Diver or even Rescue Diver.
The all new internship incorporates a full array of PADI courses,
dive experiences and additional learning modules. Aside from being trained up to
Master Scuba Diver and or Divemaster, you will receive hands on experience
with Dive Centre Operations, kit maintenance, leading dives, safety procedures,
customer liaison, boat management and professional procedures.
You will have the opportunity of working first-hand with real
students in different diving courses and PADI diving programs along-side our
experienced instructor. Learning to dive is not all hard work, it’s fun too.
Our professional scuba diving trainees programs have placed
divers in diving jobs once they are completed. So why waste your time, come and
learn to be a professional Divemaster and open the world of underwater
opportunities.
